Set within 570 acres of lush grounds, Verdura Resort provides a peaceful oasis where guests can relax and recharge at their own pace. For the 2025 season, a host of exciting new experiences have been introduced to deepen guests’ connection to their surroundings. In addition to treatments at the expansive 4000m2 Irene Forte Spa, guests can take part in a variety of new sporting activities, unique culinary experiences, and personalized itineraries designed to offer a deep immersion into local culture.
EASTER AND SPRING HOLIDAYS | Sicily’s mild spring temperatures make Verdura Resort the ideal destination for a rejuvenating and fun getaway. The resort offers a rich programme of activities, including Easter Egg hunts among centuries-old olive trees, lavish sea-view lunches, and experiences that immerse guests in the island’s age-old traditions. This spring also marks the debut of the resort’s renowned sports academies, offering expert-led sessions in golf, yoga and tennis alongside soccer training with world champion Gianluca Zambrotta.
ACADEMIES WITH THE STARS AND NEW EXPERIENCES FOR TEENS | Young guests can play their favourite sports or try their hand at new activities with qualified coaches and sporting champions. This season, the focus is on teens and wellbeing. Alongside soccer, tennis, basketball, golf, yoga, rhythmic gymnastics and Krav Maga, teenagers can now also take part in skateboarding, chess, frisbee and DJ Academy. The increasingly popular sport of pickleball will also be offered for the first time at the resort. Key dates for 2025 include:
Basketball with Bruno Cerella from 1st to 6th July
Juventus Football Academy from 11th to 17th August
Skateboarding with Italian champion Augustin Aquila from 11th to 17th August.
IRENE FORTE SPA | The award-winning 4000sqm Irene Forte Spa provides the perfect setting to unwind and soothe tired muscles after an invigorating sports session. Among the Spa’s most advanced programmes is Healthy Lifestyle, designed to achieve spiritual, mental and physical balance, with a focus on slimming and detoxifying the body.
DISCOVERING SICILY: ON THE ROAD, ON HORSEBACK OR BY BIKE | Guests can explore the surrounding 3700-acre natural paradise on horseback, by quad or mountain bike, or along scenic walking trails, immersing themselves in Sicily’s rich biodiversity. They can take in the island’s unspoiled landscapes, from the dramatic cliffs of Heraclea Minoa to miles of golden beaches. This season brings new experiences, including a horseback adventure led by a cowgirl who has made Sicily her home, riding through forests and rivers in a lesser-known part of Sicily, where visitors can connect with the locals. The new ‘Pedalling Towards the Myth’ e-bike route takes guests from the resort to the archaeological site of Heraclea Minoa, a place where legend tells of the epic battle between Eryx and Hercules.
As well as morning yoga sessions and picturesque treks through olive groves and orchards, the resort’s popular evening StarSafari returns for the season, offering stargazing experiences led by an experienced astronomer beneath Sicily’s dazzling night sky.
GOLF AND BIODIVERSITY | The Italian Golf Federation has honoured the resort’s multi-award-winning East and West Courses with two prestigious Impegnati nel Verde (INV) awards, recognising excellence in both the Biodiversity and Historical, Artistic and Cultural Heritage categories. These coveted awards recognise the resort’s commitment to environmental sustainability and cultural preservation. The championship courses offer some of the most breathtaking panoramas in the country. Golfers can elevate their game with two exclusive masterclasses, led by the resort’s Golf Development Manager Donato di Ponziano, from 15th to 19th May and 18th to 22nd September.
At the resort’s Kids’ Club, Verdùland, children play and explore through engaging programmes designed to make learning fun. With two specially designed swimming pools, young guests can enjoy a safe and exciting environment created exclusively for them.
