activity or dividend payments; the seasonal and cyclical nature of the real estate and hospitality businesses; changes in distribution arrangements, such as through internet travel
intermediaries; changes in the tastes and preferences of our customers; relationships with colleagues and labor unions and changes in labor laws; the financial condition of, and our
relationships with, third-party owners, franchisees, and hospitality venture partners; the possible inability of third-party owners, franchisees, or development partners to access the capital
necessary to fund current operations or implement our plans for growth; risks associated with potential acquisitions and dispositions and our ability to successfully integrate completed
acquisitions with existing operations; failure to successfully complete proposed transactions

VANCOUVER (JULY 2025) - With the transformation of the iconic property to Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni, the hotel’s beloved spa has also entered a new, reimagined era. Formerly CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, the space has been thoughtfully reimagined as Orrin—a contemporary wellness sanctuary rooted in the natural rhythms of the West Coast.
Orrin brings a fresh, modern approach to luxury wellness. The name may be new, but the spirit of personalized care remains, led by the same expert therapists known for delivering exceptional service. Orrin’s philosophy centres around light as a guide, inviting guests to reconnect with their energy and rediscover their natural calm. The brand’s understated elegance is shaped by nature’s quiet beauty: the warmth of sunlight, the whisper of rivers, and the serenity of moss-covered forests. Orrin is not just a spa—it is a return to self. Naturally restored.
A NEW SPA EXPERIENCE, ALIGNED WITH THE HOTEL’S FUTURE
The spa’s rebranding is part of the hotel’s broader evolution, with plans for a multi-million- dollar transformation culminating in its anticipated debut as Park Hyatt Vancouver in 2026. The hotel will undergo an extensive redesign to align with the elevated standards of the Park Hyatt
brand. Once renovations are complete, Park Hyatt Vancouver will mark the brand’s first entry into the market and join Park Hyatt Toronto in strengthening Hyatt’s luxury brand presence across Canada’s top urban destinations.
Guests and Vancouverites alike can now enjoy Orrin Spa while also earning and redeeming World of Hyatt points for eligible spa experiences. Through World of Hyatt, members can enjoy personalized benefits, exclusive offers, and access to more than 1,400 hotels and wellness destinations around the world—including luxury properties like Alila®, Miraval®, and Park Hyatt® hotels.
